Photographically illustrated guide describing a scenic walk between two historic castles sited in the neighbouring coastal villages of East and West Wemyss; a locality known as ‘The Wemyss’ after the series of ancient sandstone caves fringing the area.

Beginning at East Wemyss and the ruins of MacDuff’s Castle and travelling West toward Wemyss Castle, a seat of the earls of Wemyss from the 15th century, the walk follows a route steeped in history and legend.

Contains brief histories of both castles and various other buildings and places of interest encountered along the way. Includes route map, caves-site map, descriptions of the famous caves (see Guide to Wemyss Caves) and associated traditions.
