With the prospect of getting out and about a bit further afield for a good walk, it’s time to think about how to keep your feet feeling comfortable. You are perhaps already keeping your head warm with one of the knitted hats from our in-house designer, Julie Cook, and now’s your chance to top and tail with Julie’s hand-knitted socks.
A pair of Julie’s socks match each other without quite being identical twins, although coming from the same ball of yarn they are as close as it gets. Every pair is unique, and as they are knitted in Fife we have given them local names. Choose from the Ainster, Boarhills, Dysart, Freuchie, Lindores or Muchty patterns.
They are knitted from 75% Wool and 25% Polyamide, so they don’t have to be washed after every wear. They can be machine washed at 30˚, but Julie says please do not add fabric conditioner or tumble dry them.
The sizes currently on offer are Medium, Medium/Large and Large, which roughly equate to UK shoe sizes 6 – 8 (Medium); 7 – 9 (Medium/Large) and 8.5 – 10.5 (Large).
