Due to ongoing damage to the site the gated areas of the caves are currently closed.

All areas can however be visited as part of our Sunday guided tours, which you can book below. If you wish to visit at other times, we will attempt to provide a tour depending on volunteer availability. To avoid disappointment, please give us at least a few days’ notice via email at tours@wemysscaves.org.

We are also happy to provide access to the caves and use of our visitor centre facilities by organised tour groups. Please contact us at info@wemysscaves.org for more information.

Advance booking for the tour is essential as numbers are strictly limited due to ongoing restrictions.

This is a coastal landscape with some uneven ground and includes many steps. A full tour to the caves and back is one mile long and usually lasts up to two hours. If you might find this a problem, please let us know in advance and we can arrange a shorter tour for you. Please bring suitable footwear and clothing.

This year we are also offering the option of shorter tours each Sunday. Short tour 1 includes Court Cave and Doo Cave, while tour 2 takes you from MacDuff Castle to Jonathan’s Cave.
