This weekend we took part in the SCHARP Conference in St Andrews which gathered together archaeologists and volunteers who work to record, protect and publicise coastal heritage sites across Scotland. It was an amazing day where we heard about the work being done by groups like ours from Stranraer to Shetland and their involvement with everything from ancient settlements to flying boats. On the Sunday we joined 50 visitors from the conference on a tour round some sites along the north coast of the Forth, and finished the day hosting a visit to the Wemyss caves themselves where we took these snapshots.
