Following the recent acts of vandalism to the caves, we were heartened by the enormous interest and messages of support we received.

We are therefore holding a public meeting next Wednesday 10th August for everyone with an interest in the caves, and ideas about how we can help protect and preserve them. Local residents, councillors, MPs and MSPs together with representatives from Historic Environment Scotland, the landowners, and local police are all cordially invited.

Above all, we want to hear your ideas about how we can best protect the caves and their precious contents. Please come along and let others know.
