SWACS 40th Anniversary Events
To celebrate our 40th anniversary this year we have organised a series of activities in addition to our usual guided tours.
New display cases
We’re delighted to have taken delivery yesterday of four display cases for use in the SWACS museum.
Accessible ramp installed
Our Visitor Centre is now fully accessible! Both with the lovely new ramp and toilet facilities. It’s not the only place on site that is fully accessible. Both Court Cave and Doo Cave can be accessed with work, which was done last year.
Pictish Garden – next steps
Work is continuing on our Pictish Garden at the rear of the museum.
Ann Watters family visit
Founding member Ann Watters' relatives joined us for a special tour.
SWACS play ball
SWACS have partnered with Fife Steel Basketball Club to blend history with sport in a new “Heritage” kit.
Donation from the Diageo Safety Initiative
SWACS have received a donation from the DIAGEO safety initiative.
New geology showcase
Dr Katie Strang has created a new display in SWACS’ geology section.
Visitor centre improvement completed
Building work has been taking place at the Terras Hall over the winter in preparation for our new season.
Site Warden at the Wemyss Caves
We are looking to appoint a locally-based part-time warden to assist in looking after the site of the Wemyss Caves.
