This 12-page booklet contains extracts from the log book kept at Collessie Public School between 1874 and 1940.  The entries reveal fascinating aspects of village life of the period – epidemics of whooping cough, scarlet fever and measles; the headmaster struck down by malaria; a tea party for Queen Victoria’s Diamond  Jubilee; a Royal Visit to Melville House; and a plane crash in a field at Hallhill.
