We had a very successful Handsel Monday celebration on January 13th. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to listen to our talk and poem reading.
The mulled wine/apple juice went down a treat and everyone received their cakes!
To fill the night we had our own Pam give us a talk about Handsel Monday, Dave read an excerpt from “Auld Handsel Monday” by Samuel Mucklebuckit (1892) and then shared memories and stories of Handsel Mondays past.
