Remembering Marilyn Jenkins

SWACS are pleased to remember Marilyn Jenkins, one of the Society’s stalwarts who passed on last year (5th October), with the installation of a bench for the community on the shore front just behind St Mary’s by the Sea, East Wemyss.

Marilyn had been with the Society since its inception in 1986, initially working with groups of children who came on field trips to both The Dorothy School in West Wemyss and then East Wemyss Environmental and Education Centre. Marilyn was also an active member of East Wemyss and Macduff Community Council.

The dedication was rendered by Deaconess Jacqueline Thompson, minister for Wemyss and Buckhaven Parish Churches. Appreciation is also extended to the Local Council for their unreserved assistance in preparation of the bench, site and installation.
