On Sunday 6th September, SWACS hosted a group of international delegates from the European Association of Archaeology Conference, which was held in Glasgow this year.

On probably the warmest sunniest day of the year, archaeologists from India, Canada, the US, Scandinavia, the Faroe Islands and from across mainland Europe were given a guided tour of the caves and enjoyed refreshments and displays organised by SWACS in East Wemyss.

Marie-Yvane Dair, a professor from the University of Rennes, who also researches coastal heritage in France spoke for the group when she said “The excursion was really fantastic, so well prepared and with amazing sites and monuments !!! It was indeed an unforgettable experience…”
