Wemyss Caves Archaeology Week

This summer, archaeologists and volunteers will be working at the Wemyss Caves to learn more about the history of this amazing site.

Join us at one of the exciting events organised by the Save Wemyss Ancient Caves Society to learn more about the discoveries and the unique Pictish history of the caves.

FRIDAY 12TH JULY

Talks by Joanna Hambly of the SCAPE Trust and Dr Gordon Noble of the University of Aberdeen

SUNDAY 14TH JULY

11am – 4pm
Wemyss Caves Museum, Terras Hall, The Haugh, East Wemyss KY1 4SB
“Dig the Picts”
Guided tours to visit the excavations at the caves and talk to the archaeologists, Pictish facepainting and your chance to try stone carving using Pictish techniques. All these activities are based at the Terras Hall.
