SWACS are recruiting!
We are looking to appoint a locally-based part-time warden to assist in looking after the site of the Wemyss Caves. The main responsibilities will be to unlock and lock the protective gates and undertake litter picking.
We can initially offer four hours each weekend over the winter, with the intention of increasing these hours in the summer months. The position will be paid at £12/hour.
It has long been our hope that the caves can provide local employment so we’re delighted we’re now in a position to take this first step. Having a paid site warden will free up our volunteers to provide more activities at the caves for the community and increase our income from visitors which can be used to create further employment.
