Our archaeologist friends from SCAPE (Scottish Coastal Archaeology and the Problem of Erosion) have been onsite to collect data as part of our annual monitoring of the Wemyss Caves area, along with our SWACS volunteers, who have been out to undertake the below groundwork.
This is done on an annual basis to help us track changes and alert us to any developing problems. This part of the operation involved making details notes of any changes and taking pictures of the Caves and surrounding areas. The data can then be compared directly with that collected in previous years.
