New Visitor Centre Opens

After a lot of incredible hard work, SWACS volunteers welcomed the first group of visitors to our new Visitor Centre and Museum.

The new museum has comprehensive displays on the caves, Macduff Castle, Pictish art and local history.

Our aims

Our purpose is to conserve, preserve and endeavour to create permanent protection for the natural and cultural heritage of the Wemyss Caves and their carvings for the benefit of the public and provide a platform for the appreciation and study of this precious local heritage.
