New signage has been installed at the caves to highlight their historic importance and help discourage vandalism.

Vandalism in Jonathan’s Cave
Very regrettably we have to report that Jonathan’s Cave was targeted some time last week by vandals who used spray cans to draw graffiti both outside the cave and inside on areas containing Pictish carvings. We have reported this to police and will be working with Historic Environment Scotland under

Castle, Caves and Coast Community Clean-Up and First Open Sunday
Castle, Caves & Coast Cleanup
SWACS in conjunction with friends will be doing a cleanup of the land surrounding MacDuff Castle, the Wemyss Caves and the general coastal area. This will take place on Saturday, 11th April from 10:00 until 13:00. All Welcome!
